Snapdragon 8 Elite with a fan is faster than Apple's M2 chip
Following the release of a leaked image of the Nubia Redmi 10 Ultra, the successor to the Redmi 9S Pro, the phone has now been tested on Geekbench. Thanks to the combination of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a cooling fan, the smartphone scored an impressive 3,229 in single-core mode and 10,300 in multi-core mode.
This makes Nubia's new gaming flagship run about 42.2% faster than its predecessor, which was based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Also, the performance of Realme GT7 Pro, which is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite, is evaluated to be 7.2% and 12.6% weaker than this phone in the single-core and multi-core sections, respectively, and these results are related to the first Geekbench execution. As early tests of the Realme GT7 Pro have shown, the smartphone's performance drops significantly under constant load, so the presence of a fan can be especially useful for gamers.
With this result, the Redmi 10 Ultra not only outperforms the Apple A18 Pro on the iPhone 16 Pro, but also the Apple M2, making the smartphone faster than the MacBook Air 2022, at least in terms of processor performance. As previously leaked information has shown, in addition to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the Redmi 10 Ultra also offers other advanced features such as a 7-inch display and a 7,000 mAh battery. The smartphone is expected to be officially unveiled in November.
